Alexander the great, out of respect and curiosity went to meet Diogenes, a well known philosopher. Diogenes was lying in the beach basking in the sun with his companion, a dog. Alexander asked Diogenes if there is any favour he can do for him, for he being the emperor of the world he said anything can be asked. Diogenes calmly said, "Yes, Can you please move little bit? You are blocking the sun".

Diogenes then asked "Where are you going? What do you want? What is the purpose? Because I see all these armies passing by". Alexander replied, "I want to conquer the world". Diogenes asked, "Then what happens?" Alexander was little embarrassed, because no body has asked him such a question. He managed and said, "then I will relax". Diogenes laughed loudly and looked at his companion, the dog and said, "Look at this idiot he wants to conquer the world so that he can relax. You and me are relaxing under the sun without having conquered a single piece of land".
